Agriculture and food industry. CFIA will be held in Rennes on 29, 30 September and 1 October 2020

Remember: due to the coronavirus, the organizers of the CFIA, Carrefour des Fournisseurs l’industrie agroalimentaire, have decided to postpone their show, originally planned for mid-March, to the end of May. Subsequently they had announced a new postponement until September 29, 30 and October 1 in Nantes.

Today is not a new postponement, but a change of venue. The organizers announce that the CFIA will take place 29, 30 September and 1 October 2020, but in Rennes, its historical fortress, and not in Nantes, as was decided in mid-April.

Rennes has always been a CFIA stronghold, in the heart of Europe’s leading agri-food region. It is a logical and coherent decision considering market expectations. », says Sébastien Gillet, director of the show. This return to the Rennes Airport Expo Park is made possible by the cancellation of the May 5th Space (International Animal Production Show), which was scheduled for September 15th to 18th.

This decision will allow visitors, exhibitors and partners to keep their bearings in an already unprecedented situation. In the context we are going through, it is even more important to keep meeting, exchanging and sharing. That’s why we’re doing everything we can to enable all food industry professionals to quickly find each other and revive the dynamism of an industry that has never stopped innovating and reinventing itself. CFIA’s role is simply to support this dynamic “, adds Sébastien Gillet

The 2021 edition took place in June

The organizers also assessed the difficulties brought about by the proximity of the 2020 and 2021 editions, if they were to be kept on the usual dates, i.e. in March. This is why Sébastien Gillet has already announced that CFIA Rennes 2021 will take place on June 8, 9 and 10, 2021 at the Rennes Airport Exhibition Grounds. A series of stunning events before returning to normal dates (in March) from 2022.
